~Domain & Hosting~
*Registration: Silent-asylum.NET was registered mid-febuary 2004 for 1 year. The name silent-asylum.NET was inspired originally for the .com site, see below. I got a .net (instead of .org, which wasn't taken either) is because I can now host all the lovely people I want to. ^.^
*What happened to Silent-Asylum.com? Well, when I switched hosting I thought, since tripod said it was moved to my new site, I could delete my STUPID tripod service. Well, when I deleted service, they halted the transfer and I lost my domain. Luckily the people at Dreamhost were nice enough to give me a free domain anyway. Silent-asylum.com was registered June of 2003 as a late birthday present, with Tripod. I chose silent-asylum.com because my site was where I could go to be myself, be alone, and yet be surrounded by the spirits that guide me in silence.
*What are the differences between tripod and Dreamhost? Well, for $9.95 a month on tripod, with their pro plan, I got 50mb of space, 5 POP/forward emails, 5 subdomains (couldn't host anyone) no PHP or MySQL, and limited cgi-bin. AND CRAPPY SUPPORT. I did get my domain free. For the SAME price at Dreamhost, I got one domain for free, 15 ftp users,
